PACT has been at the forefront of community organizing efforts for more than 30 years, leading groups in working on their top priorities. The initiatives that these groups have taken up such as the safety of neighborhoods, housing, education, and environmental justice are all examples of how joint efforts can yield tangible outcomes.

2020s

Eviction Diversion Program
2025
PACT won $2 million for the Eviction Diversion Program, helping prevent evictions and support housing stability for vulnerable communities.

Accessory Dwelling Units

2024

PACT secured commitments from public officials to support accessory dwelling units as a starting solution to the housing crisis.

Tree Canopy Expansion
2023
PACT is working with Miami-Dade County to increase the tree canopy to 30% in order to reduce heat and improve environmental conditions.

Gun Violence Reduction Program

PACT worked with local police and county leaders to implement programs aimed at reducing gun violence across Miami-Dade County.

Affordable Housing Advocacy

PACT pushed the county to dedicate 50% of the Affordable Housing Trust Fund to low-income housing.

Ending Out-of-School Suspensions

PACT pressured Miami-Dade Public Schools to reduce and eventually eliminate out-of-school suspensions that contributed to higher crime and lower academic performance.
