Staff

		Wilfredo Bolivar (Willy) moved to the United States from Venezuela in 1981. He lived in New York until 1989, when he moved to Boston. There, Willy became active as a member and a leader in the local community organization ECCO (Essex County Community Organization) and joined their staff as a community organizer in 1991. Among many grassroots campaigns with ECCO, Willy spearheaded a campaign to make local hospitals more responsive to the needs of the Latino community, including training programs for Hispanic doctors and translators for non-English-speaking patients. He joined the PACT staff as a Community Organizer in March of 1997, and has been in charge of PACT’s campaigns on immigration issues, among others. Willy became the Executive Director of PACT in June 2007. Willy is fluent in Spanish and English.
		Gérard Péan moved to Miami from Haiti in 1992. He became active in PACT as a leader from his church, Notre Dame d’Haiti Catholic Church, in 1997. Then, in January 1999, he joined PACT’s staff as a Community Organizer. Gérard brings a life-long history of religious service and community organizing to his work with PACT, having been an organizer and community worker in Haiti. He is responsible for PACT’s extensive work with the Haitian community in Miami-Dade, addressing concerns about police protection, immigration, and other issues. Gérard is fluent in English, French, and Haitian Creole.
		Camille Harris became involved with PACT in February 2000 while serving as a Mission Intern with the United Methodist Church. Mission Interns serve three-year terms, with the first half of the program in an overseas placement and the second half with a justice-oriented organization in the US. Camille’s overseas work was in Kenya and Ghana studying and promoting Christian / Muslim relations, and her US assignment had her serving full-time as a Community Organizer for PACT. At the completion of her internship, she officially joined PACT’s staff. Born in Flint, Michigan, Camille has experience as a trainer for the United Methodist Church and has a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Lawrence University.
